| Soo-Yeon Ham was born in 1985 in Seoul, Korea. She began her piano
studies at the age of six, continuing her studies with Minja Shin on
scholarship at Sunwha Arts School and Sunwha Arts High School from 1998
to 2004. In 2004 she commenced her studies at the Seoul National
Universitv with Professor Hyoung-Joon Chang, graduating in 2008 with Top
Honours. |

| She was awarded First Prize at the International Piano Academy in
Scotland Competition (Glasgow, UK) and Third Prize at the China Shanghai
International Piano Competition. She has also won numerous national
competitions in her native Korea, including Second Prize at the 47th
Dong-A Music Competition. She has performed with the Shanghai
Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Symphony Orchestra, the St Petersburg Radio
Broadcast Orchestra, Royal Irish Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra
and Sunwha Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also given numerous recitals
including the Yamaha Rising Artist Concert Series, Kumho Young Artist
Concert Series, Chosun Ilbo Rising Artist Concert Series and a recital at the
Seoul National University.

| Soo-Yeon currently studies with John O`Conor and Therese Fahy at the
Royal Irish Academy of Music.
